Board & Committee Leadership
I have had a great deal of experience working with non-profit agencies. My first job was for United Cerebral Palsy of Winnebagoland (which has now changed its name to Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin, Inc.). The agency worked with people who had developmental disabilities, and was a not-for-profit agency. While in college, I had a part time job working for the Oshkosh Community Foundation where I was able to assist with grant distribution and development. I also was the State President of the Student Wisconsin Education Association, where I directed a Board of Directors with representatives from each college in the state which offered a teacher preparation program.
In my role as Principal at Pinellas Preparatory Academy, a significant portion of my job has been the development and coordination of the Board of Directors and committees. In this role I work with the Board Chairperson to develop agendas, meeting schedules, to prepare informational packets before each board meeting (Samples: September 1, 2009, June 30, 2009, May 7, 2007), budget reports, coordinate state required Board training, post public meeting notices, submit and post meeting minutes and more.
